TL;DR: Your conversations are never sent to us. AICO has no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. What you save stays encrypted on your PC, and goes only where you send it. If you buy AICO Pro, we only collect your email address, your subscription status and the basic information needed to maintain your subscription; payments are handled by Paddle.
1. What AICO handles
AICO reads a page’s conversation only when you press Save (or start saving many conversations at once). It then keeps:
- the conversation or page text, with its headings, code, tables and the sources it cites
- the page address and title, the AI site’s name and the time
- the name of the account signed in on the AI site, so conversations from different accounts can be told apart
When you open AICO’s window on an AI site, AICO checks which account is signed in there. It does not read pages you do not save, and nothing of AICO runs in a page before you use it.
2. Where it is kept
Everything AICO keeps (conversations, the Transfer Log, your Notion token and settings) is stored in your browser on your PC, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The key is protected by your AICO password and by a recovery key that only you hold. With “stay unlocked on this PC” (the default) the key is also kept in your browser profile, so anyone who can use your computer account could open AICO’s data; choose “ask each time Chrome starts” in Settings if you prefer. A conversation is removed from your PC one day after the destination you chose confirmed it (at once when the disk is nearly full).
3. Where it is sent
Only where you choose, and only when you choose:
- Notion: the conversation, its title, address and date go to your own Notion database, using the integration token you created.
- Download: a Markdown, JSON or PDF file is saved in your Downloads folder. These files are plain, not encrypted: anyone who can use your computer account can open them.
Your conversations are never sent to us. The free edition counts how many conversations you sent today and this month on your PC only.
4. Payments
The free edition has no payments. AICO Pro is paid through Paddle (paddle.com), our merchant of record: Paddle takes care of the payment, your card details, billing, tax and invoices, and we never see your card details.
If you buy AICO Pro, we only collect your email address, your subscription status and the basic information needed to maintain your subscription and to check that it is genuine (such as how many conversations you sent today).
5. Deleting your data
- Remove single conversations, or all of them, in AICO; clear the Transfer Log on its page.
- “Start over” on AICO’s lock screen deletes everything AICO keeps.
- Removing the extension deletes everything it stored in your browser.
- Pages in Notion and files in Downloads are yours: delete them there.
6. Children
AICO is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly handle their data.
